First MOTUS Buoy deployed in North Africa
The first MOTUS Buoy in Morocco, North Africa has been installed outside port Asilah to monitor Ocean Waves.
Located in the northwest part of Morocco, around 40 km south of Tangier and 30 km north of Larache, in the province Tangier-Asilah, is Port Asilah, mainly used for traditional fishing vessels and recreational boating. The port is challenging to enter due to the port entrance's shape and the waves in the area. Monitoring the waves and displaying the result in real-time will make it safer for the fishing vessels to enter the port. The MOTUS Buoy is installed 2,5 km from the port entrance.
