MOTUS Deployment in Deenish Island
Buoy Platform in place for monitoring and predicting extreme marine events
Deenish is a salmon production facility outside the west coast of Ireland close to the town of Castletownbere, a beautiful fishing village. A joint team from MOWI, Marine Institute Ireland, and Xylem/Aanderaa deployed the buoy in excellent conditions using the vessels from MOWI and their capable crew. Under the supervision of Xylem, assisted by technicians from the Marine Institute, the team deployed the buoy close to the site to provide useful information about the conditions in the area.
