The Quick-Clamp solution for SeaGuard is now available!
Now the SeaGuard can be delivered either with a classical mooring frame or with a clamping solution offering an alternative for elegant and easy mooring without the need to break the mooring line.
Our unique clamping solution can be used either with Kevlar rope or stainless steel wire. This solution has been designed by the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, manufactured by ELKINS Oceanic Services and commercialized by Planet Ocean Ltd. Quick-Clamp allows you to rapidly fit or remove your SeaGuard® RCM on a mooring line saving time. The solution also gives you more security when winding on or off the line through a winch, or by diver.
The system incorporates a simple but robust locking mechanism operated by one hand using an easy to operate, large push button release. The only preparation required is the fitting of small swaged or screw on ferrules on the cable at the positions required.
